After over a year of 1: not dancing (I used to take ballet and modern almost daily) and 2: being diagnosed with leukemia, undergoing intense chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant, radiation, more chemotherapy and lying around in hospital beds for who knows how many months, I am taking on getting back in dancing condition.
I am still undergoing treatment currently, and am not feeling up to taking any dance yet, but this is the first step in getting there!
I'll be posting an updates rating where I am on a scale of 1-10 for each stretch I am evaluating. This is also a place I welcome discussion and tips on the subject!
First Day
I will use a scale of 1-10. 10 being my previous most flexible as I remember myself, 1 being the starting point now.
I did some sun salutations and other yogic-like postures then went straight to stretching. Starting tomorrow I will be more specific about how exactly I am stretching. Today is to document the beginning point.
And YES I am wearing a t-shirt that is bright pink, sparkly and says "Glee Club." Also sporting blue socks with birds on them. Fashion is a very important component of this process. Clearly.

Yay Mareanie Beanie! I have some advice for you. You know me...miss flexibility and all! :) All you have to do is to have Nana come work with you for a few hours! I remember when you were little and she would show you off to others. She would walk up to you, yank your leg over your head and say, "look how flexible she is!!!" Sometimes I thought she would rip your leg off in the process!!!
